Meet Our Staff Member: Bill Music

Staff Spotlight

Today, we’re excited to introduce one of our newer staff members at Fellowship Missions, Bill Music, who serves as our Men’s Resident Coordinator. We hope you enjoy learning more about Bill and look forward to the chance for you to meet him in person soon!

A Day in the Life

Bill’s typical day begins with a warm greeting for our Front Desk Operator as he steps into the front office. Four out of five days, he leads our residents through Program Meetings.

His hours are filled with a variety of responsibilities, including case management, intake conversations, meeting preparation, and crisis intervention.

Joining Fellowship Missions

Bill joined Fellowship Missions on February 13, 2024, making it about eight months since he became part of our team. He was drawn to Fellowship Missions because of its mission and the impact it has on the community.

The Highlights of Bill’s Role

When asked about the best part of his job, Bill shared, “Witnessing God work in the lives of our residents” is incredibly fulfilling for him.

Through his experiences, he has gained a deeper awareness of his own limitations and an understanding of his need for a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Bill has also developed a new perspective on the homeless community, one that reveals the diversity of circumstances, hardships, and the remarkable perseverance demonstrated by our shelter residents.

Cherished Memories

One of Bill’s fondest memories at Fellowship Missions is attending “Hope in the Gate” at Amy Grant’s farm in Franklin, Tennessee, which is a moment he cherishes deeply.

Aspirations and Inspirations

If Bill could learn anything, he would choose to master the discipline of holiness. Additionally, when asked which fictional character he would dine with, he chose Tom Bombadil from The Lord of the Rings

Bill admires Tom for his representation of renunciation of control and his appreciation for the beauty of existence without self-reference. He imagines their conversation would be filled with ancient understanding and melodies.

A Message About Fellowship Missions

Bill hopes people understand that at Fellowship Missions, we collaborate with Christ to inspire hope and healing in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, addiction, and poverty. His passion for this mission reflects the heart of our organization and the dedication of our staff.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Bill Music! We are grateful for his contributions to Fellowship Missions and look forward to seeing the continued impact he will have on our community.

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
